The Security Awareness and Training Program (SATP) aims to build a culture of security at the 91ÖÆƬ³§ (OISE) by equipping our community with knowledge, practices and technologies needed to protect themselves and the University against information security threats.
The program includes a survey and training modules based on security awareness. These modules are manageable, and self-paced and will prepare you when it comes to information security threats.
Eligible members of the OISE community will be contacted to select new devices as part of the annual Computer Renewal Program (CRP).
Education Commons will ensure that all new devices are equipped with the necessary software and technology to support academic and administrative needs.
OISE public website are built using the Drupal content management system and will undergo a version update to improve accessibility, enhance security, and support future feature/component enhancements.
OISE website editors will experience a seamless editing process, with no noticeable changes during the update period.
During Fall 2025, OISE will open a new Rooftop Garden exclusively for the OISE community.
Education Commons is collaborating with the OISE Space team to ensure the garden’s technology components operate smoothly and align with our sustainability values.
To maintain a secure computing environment for all Education Commons/OISE-issued devices connected to the OISE wired and wireless networks, our team is currently upgrading eligible Windows 10 computers to Windows 11.
Users of eligible devices will be contacted directly with further instructions and consultations.
In collaboration with the OISE Chief Administrative Office, Education Commons is reviewing and enhancing departmental printing requirements and technologies across the OISE building. This initiative is driven by the upcoming expiration of the current printing agreement in 2025.
As sustainability priorities evolve and printing practices continue to shift in the post pandemic post-secondary educational environment, OISE has experienced a decreased reliance on traditional printing.
