Why did you choose to study a Graduate Diploma in Management?
I studied Psychology and Public Health during my undergraduate, and I feel my Graduate Diploma complements that for my career aspirations really well. I鈥檝e always been fascinated by individual behaviour, how people think and what influences their decisions, especially in relation to health and wellbeing. At the same time, I鈥檓 passionate about making a broader impact through leadership and organisational change. I believe that pairing health knowledge with management skills is a powerful combination that will help me become a leader who can contribute meaningfully to the health sector.

Do you see a benefit to the flexibility of choices that UC offers for postgraduate study?
The best thing about this Graduate Diploma is that it allows you to study something completely different to what you were studying before. Even though my undergrad degree was completely different, it aligns really well and has allowed me to create my own pathway for what I鈥檓 passionate about. It just goes to show that you can follow your interests and make your own path!

Are you studying full-time?
Yes, I study at UC full-time. I have pretty interactive lectures throughout the week, but my course gives me a lot of flexibility so that I can also do the thing that I love outside of uni. I enjoy a really good work-life balance.

What do you love most about your study?
I feel very passionate about what I'm studying, so it's fun and interesting for me. The in-person lectures are always dynamic and focused on problem solving, and I love how we鈥檙e constantly meeting new people and engaging in real conversations. The interactive component makes it super fun and meaningful.
I love taking the chance to learn new things, network, and be inspired by different perspectives. It鈥檚 made my university experience really well-rounded and fulfilling.
Is there anything that surprised you about postgrad study?
I thought I would struggle to have a good work-life balance with postgrad studies, but I definitely have a great balance. In fact, I'd say I have even more of a balance now because I know the uni so well and feel comfortable. Plus, I find what I'm doing really engaging so it's easy to study.

Have you got any advice for others who may be considering postgraduate study?
The one thing I would say is that if you're passionate about something, don't hold back. Do it. It's awesome.
